Well, it has been a tough few days.   On Friday I found out that Ben's wife Angel passed away.  It had been a long time since I'd seen her, but my memories of her was that she was always kind and caring.   Ben and I had a chance to work together recently.  I hired him for some design work.  He's such a good person.  The two of them together we're such a delight.  I'm going to the memorial this Wednesday. 

Then on Mothers Day I get a call that Nova's grandma Judy passed away.  She has been sick for a while and I was in the process of planning a trip for Nova to visit her.  Now I'm planning a trip to go to her service.

My iphone is all schmancy now thanks to Instructables.

Woke up this morning to find this lovely work on my car. My neighbors across the street got tagged too. I managed to get most of it cleaned off after 2 hours of scrubbing and cleaning.

Is it so wrong that I really want one of these fancy washlet seats from Toto? Not to be confused with this Toto, even though I think you could make a connection to the rains down in Africa if you wanted. If you want to see some fun online advertising check out their Clean is Happy site.

I seem to be getting more canadian change lately. Every time I notice it I thank the cashier, since it will soon be worth more. Is the extra Canadian currency showing up because of the massive amount of spending going on here?

So I had this very vivid dream last night that the earth was being invaded by aliens. There was destruction every where. I was busy trying to save people and help spread the word. I was using my iPhone to photo blog pictures of the space craft and probes. The really interesting thing about the dream was that the invasion turned out to be faked by the governments as an attempt to control and mislead the people. No one knew why any of this was happening. It was actually pretty scary, even though it sounds cheesy. The hard part was seeing placed like my home being destroyed and family members getting killed. Dreams are weird.

i'm pretty pleased with the results of my home made mini hamburger buns. I'm making mini blue cheese burgers, that should be delicious.

Maybe someday I will be able to fulfill my dream of becoming a male model. I mean come on who wouldn't want to buy that pillow or even that macbook that is cooking my lap.

I was driving in to work today and I saw a strange site by the side of the road. A huge group of goats grazing. I had to stop and take some photos and talk to the goat person, um shepard, whatever. She said she makes good money renting out her 60 goats to eat overgrowth. In fact they are booked all summer and work mostly for larger property project firms. Wacky!

This movie looks just crazy enough that it might be good.

Man, there couldn't have been a nicer man with such a good heart. I will miss you. We'll all miss you.

We worked together at both Wildseed and on the Phantom. His son is the same age as Nova. I can't even begin to imagine how hard this is on his family.

why is the dmv so slow?

I know it's like a running joke about the long wait at the dmv, but i'm number 42 and thet are only at 19 and it's not moving.

looks like I drove all the way home on the freeway with a very low tire. the tire was pretty beat up. it was able to hold enough air to go to Les Schwab. thankfully they were not busy today. i'm waiting right now for it to get fixed. my plan today was to go get my drivers license and tabs since they both expired. it like a whole day car fest!

I can't believe how amazing this show is. If you haven't seen the Discovery Channel's Planet Earth in HD yet, go do so. It's some of the most amazingly filmed nature around. I'm not sure what it is but I get totally sucked in to every episode. Watching dolphins hydroplane on the shallow beach water just to catch a few fish, billions of sea birds in Bahrain, or even snow leopards chasing their pray on a steep cliffs. It all keeps me super engaged. It's just so pretty.

I'm going to have to see if I can find the shows online too.

I have many memories of Bill the Beerman from my youth. I mean it's not like I was getting all drunks when I was a kid but he was big part of any game at the kingdome.

It's funny, but you know I've never had this type of problem on my mac. I mean I've made my mac crash, but I was doing stuff that had every right to crash it. Windows crashes when I check my email, when I browse the web, when I do anything that relates to work. All the god damn time. Come on people fix your OS.

Delicious Salumi salami. There's no way I'll be able to eat more then just a tiny bit. Is there anyone that would like to share?

I've been working on another painting. I'm not sure how I feel about this one. I'm thinking about putting a beeswax finish over the top to make it a have a bit of a foggy coating. I'm not sure how it will effect the gold paint though. I do really like how the matt green paint floats on the shiny gold.

Oh the memories. I must be getting old if reading about ROT 13 has got me all nostalgic and stuff.
